Starting Year 2010 With A Bang…Literally.

It was on January 2010 when I received news that my brain exploded. Yes, EXPLODED. Well, not exactly but I learned I had a brain hemorrhage [Cerebral Cavernous Malformation (CCM)].

The brain tissue near my brain stem ripped and blood started oozing out. Life sucked after that. Imagine being hungover and you just finished riding the Gravitron, and then imagine going through that all day and night! Yeah, that’s exactly what I went through for a couple months. Very depressing. Anyway, I was finally scheduled for brain surgery in March, but ended up with 2 operations as the first was unsuccessful.

Long story short, after 3 dreadful weeks in the hospital I was given an amazing chance to regain ‘normalcy.’ I started out being exhausted from just sitting on a chair for an hour to using a roller walker around the house, holding onto someone when going out, and then I was able to drive. All thanks to my daily exercise.

So, what’s your excuse?

Bandaged after my 2nd & successful surgery. Not sure if I was cheesing because I survived or I was under a ton of drugs!

This is an old photo of me before surgery.

This photo was taken last April ‘11 at the Santa Anita Food Truck Festival. I gained some weight after surgery

since I couldn’t be as active as I was and am now; and I didn’t have a healthy diet…as you can see.

I’m beginning to show some definition now that I can handle heavier weights.

And these are recent photos of myself.

I’ve never been a big girl. In fact, I’m at my heaviest but I look and feel hotter than I was when I weighed 105 lbs. So, my current WHtR (waist to height ratio) is 26:60= 43.33% 25:60=41.67% 24:60=40% (healthy).

I currently have two fitness goals: (1) get 100% of my balance back and (2) get down to 17-18% BF.

I hope you like my story and find my background to be inspirational; and hopefully this will encourage you to keep fighting for what you want!

Feel free to ask me any questions or comment! ^_^
